Scaffolding is any structure or framework which is temporarily built intended to be used for the support or protection of workers engaged in construction work, for support of both people who are carrying out the work and materials that are being used to complete the work. It is usually made of materials including wooden planks, metal poles and others. The standard scaffolding parts include long pipes or tubes that connect the mass of the scaffold to the ground. “Scaffold clamps, also known as cheese boroughs or pipe couplers, are commonly used in tube and clamp scaffolding applications and other applications where scaffold systems need to be anchored to fixed structures with scaffold beam clamps.” Scaffolding clamps such as fixed clamps are essential components of a scaffold. They are usually used to join two metal tubes together to assemble a scaffold. Fixed clamps are specifically used for joining two metal tubes at a right angle.

Scaffold clamps, also known as cheese boroughs or pipe couplers, are commonly used in tube and clamp scaffolding applications and other applications where scaffold systems need to be anchored to fixed structures with scaffold beam clamps.

Whereas a swivel clamp is also known as swivel couplers are used to connect scaffold tubes at any angle. Its main purpose is to provide flexibility in the scaffolding and a beam clamp for connecting steel between structural beams so that there’s no need to weld or drill the steels together, a fixed clamp is used for connecting scaffold tubes at the right angle. This means a fixed clamp does not offer flexibility in terms of angles. For example, if a vertical tube will be connected to a horizontal tube or a diagonal, a fixed clamp cannot be used in this application.

It is used in tube and clamp scaffolding applications and is also defined as a load bearing coupler. The main purpose of a swivel clamp is to connect two scaffolding tubes at any angle.

Metal Frame Fixing

Technical Data

Fixings are a general term for items designed to attach objects to certain surfaces such as floors, walls, roofs, doors, and the likes, holding them steadily, usually permanently. They are a form of connector and play a particularly important role in construction. Frame fixings are designed to connect pressed metal door or window frame and the wall. This prevents the frames from being pulled against the substrate and offer a long-lasting fixing of the frame. To maintain strength overtime, the long shaft of metal frame fixing provides rigidity and extra grip strength. Metal frame fixings are recommended for applications such as window frames, door frames, and squared timbers. It is also compatible to a variety of building materials such as concrete, bricks, and others. They’re perfect for fixing metal door frame, fix plywood to metal frame, etc.

Universal Plug FU

The primary advantage of using Universal Plug FU is its universal design, as the name suggests. This means that it may be used in almost any building materials, even concrete and aerated concrete. This is because the sleeve attaches tightly to building materials for maximum hold.

It also comes with an anti-rotation lock, which prevents the plug from rotating during installation. The collar that comes with it is to avoid slipping into the drill hole. This plug may be used with chipboard screws not more than 6mm and not less than 3mm.

Universal Plug FU is made of high-quality nylon and may be used for, but not limited to, installing wall cabinets, shelves (light-weight only), cornicing, curtain rails, mirrors, electrical installations, vertically perforated brick, and lamps.

Expansion Plug SX is the choice fixing for certain applications due to its material–high-quality nylon. Plug SX is commonly used in the following applications:

lighting, wardrobes, motion detectors, skirting, light shelves, mirror cabinets, letter boxes, TV consoles, trellis, folding shutters, and bath and toilet installations.

Aside from the high-quality material, Plug SX offers other advantages as well. For example, the 4-way expansion feature ensures the force is distributed evenly. Also, it ensures it can carry high loads in both solid and hollow materials.

Plug SX can be used in different materials such as concrete, aerated concrete, hollow blocks made from lightweight concrete, solid brick made from lightweight concrete, cavity floor slabs made from bricks and concrete, vertically perforated brick, perforated sand-lime brick, solid brick, solid sand-lime brick, natural stone with dense structure, ans solid panel made from gypsum.

Sleeve anchors are incredibly versatile that you can use it in a wide variety of applications. These are also designed to be used in light to heavy duty fastening. When the bolt of the fastener is tightened, expansion occurs in the base material that creates a strong grasp and would allow distribution of load bearing weight.

As mentioned, these anchors are very adaptable. They can be used in a plethora of applications as simple as those at the home or for much larger operations. These can also be beneficial for projects that has base materials such as concrete, brick, and block.

Installing a sleeve anchor is simple but critical at the same time because correct installation is what would define its efficiency. The first step to install it is to drill a hole, make sure to clean the debris. Install the anchor afterwards and finish it with a hammer and torque wrench.

There are a variety of applications possible for construction anchors. Typically, they are used to secure objects to materials that are normally resistant to screw or nails, for example, concrete. There are a lot of different types of anchors to choose from depending on your needs.

Structural members which need anchors to be attached to masonry involves ledger beam, girders, floor and roof diaphragms, and other materials that might need to transfer their load to the masonry. Not only do anchors transfer gravity loads to masonry but they also can transfer lateral loads as well.

Sleeve anchors are used when adaptability is a requirement. They can be used with almost any material, even ones exposed to seismic loads. This is because a sleeve anchor expands once it’s tightened, which provides a strong connection that also distributes the weight. Sleeve anchors may be used for both heavy and light fastening requirements at home or to secure the joists of decking.
